The exhibition Illumination Sounds is constructed upon urban research conducted in Prishtina. The project seeks to illuminate the implications of the legal framework that governs acoustic pollution. The present structure of the project includes research documentation, analyses, and selected records from thirty-seven different points in the city of Prishtina. The project focuses on a series of streets in Prishtina, comparing the acoustic pollution regulation implemented by the Municipality of Pristina on January 3, 2023, with data on the impact on the human body and psyche based on research conducted by the World Health Organization. The exhibition is curate as performance between two different installations that communicate with each other. Is the law on noise pollution enforced in the first zone of the city of Prishtina? On the backdrop of a constant need for sustainable policymaking, the exhibition sheds light on the absence of a comprehensive legal framework in terms of acoustic pollution based on urban spatial policies in the city of Prishtina.
