Kristina Janjić is a visual artist from Serbia. She graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Arts in Belgrade, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in 2017. In the 2016/2017 school year, she obtained a scholarship from French government and participated in one semester exchange program at the National Academy of Fine Arts in Paris (L’École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts de Paris). She completed her master’s studies in 2018 at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade. Kristina also completed her doctoral studies in Arts in 2023 at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Arts in Belgrade. In addition to the Faculty of Fine Arts, she graduated from the Department of English Language, Literature and Culture at the Faculty of Philology of the University of Belgrade in 2020. Currently, she is a third-year PhD student at the Faculty of Media and Communications in Belgrade at the department of Transdisciplinary Studies in Contemporary Art and Media. Kristina participated in the following exhibitions: “Modus Operandi Vernisage” (Modus Operandi Vernisage) and “Tashiba” (Tashiba Exposition), held in the galleries of the National Academy of Fine Arts in Paris. In 2018, Kristina participated in the “Inter/Action” exhibition, in the Gallery Youth Center in Belgrade, working on a project in cooperation with art history students. The same year, Kristina showed her work at “Leaving the safe regime” show in the German cultural center, Goethe Institute and “Perspectives XXXIV” in the National Gallery in Belgrade. Her following exhibition was “Art in the age of class war” in Ostavinska galerija in Belgrade (2018). When it comes to solo shows, Kristina held a solo exhibition in Salon 77, one of the three exhibition spaces of the Gallery of Contemporary Art in Nis in 2020. Her PhD exhibition was hosted by the Gallery of the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade in 2022.
