Luiza Thaqi

Luiza Thaqi is an emerging visual artist who lives and works in Kosovo. Her practice includes painting, installation, and sculpture, through which she explores themes related to society, its structures, gender, urbanization, and the built environment. Her work focuses on the interaction between these phenomena and environmental issues, advocating for a collaborative and non-hierarchical approach to creativity.
Luiza has participated in various projects and exhibitions, including being a finalist for the Artist of Tomorrow Award 2024 by Stacion – Center for Contemporary Art Prishtina. Her exhibitions include “Say to Remember so We Won’t Forget”, part of the project “Mothers of War” (2023), a collaborative work with Renea Begolli; the solo show “Interwoven – Between Roots and Skylines”, curated by Laureta Hajrullahu and Shkamb Jaka at Europe House Kosovo (2023); among others.
