In addition to the annual program with four exhibitions, Galeria 17 opens its doors for ten days and invites artists, collectives and various creative formations to become part of the Pop-up Art Week. From December 11 to 22, 2023, up to 5 one-day events will take place, in the format of a pop-up exhibition.
Pop-up Art Week, will transform Galeria 17 into a vocal space for the work and creativity of independent local creators. In particular, it will serve networking and dialogue between perspectives and programs between Galeria 17 and different and independent individuals/groups of the cultural community. This initiative aims to put into action such artistic practices, which pave the way for collaborations and different professional journeys.

Shtatëmbëdhjetë provides the spaces and supports the arrangement of the exhibition, as well as the opening accompanied by a cocktail party. It also promotes the participating artists and their work through the website and social media platforms.
*The production of the exhibition works is covered by the participating artists themselves.
Artists, collectives and various creative formations are invited to feel free to apply with various artistic mediums, including: painting, sculpture, photography, installation, video, digital art, performance, etc.
The application must contain:
● The title of the exhibition
● Author or authors + Bio 200 words max
● Description of the exhibition up to 500 words
● Outline of the exhibition
● Necessary equipment
● Activities
● Exhibition installation and uninstallation plan
● Spaces in use: Galeria 17 or Project Space 17
Note
The copyright on the work and the content of the exhibition remains with the artist. Any image or video used by Galeria 17 will carry the artist’s credit line.
Duration of application
The application deadline is September 15, 2023. The announcement of the selected projects will be made on October 1, 2023.

The jury, made up of the advisory board of Galeria 17 and the independent scene in the country, will take care of the selection of exhibitions that will take place during Pop-up Art Week.
