Where will the Swallows go?

Redina Qose

“Where will the Swallows go?” includes three works that critically examine the emotional and political dimensions of migration in Europe.

Through the lens of contemporary art, these works deconstruct dominant narratives of migration, exposing systemic vulnerabilities and the in-between spaces inhabited by the displaced. The exhibition invites social and theoretical reflection on the ethics of borders and the human cost of exclusionary practices within the European context.

Redina Qose, (b. 1996, Patos, Albania), is currently living and working in Tirana. She earned her degree in Multimedia from the University of Arts in Tirana in 2019. Her artistic practice spans across various mediums, in visual and conceptual art, such as video art, performance, and textile reflecting on thought-provoking narratives. Her work explores themes like migration, identity, beliefs, memory, and societal issues. In her practice she reflects also on generational trauma, examining how historical and social contexts continue to shape contemporary realities in Albania. Through a conceptual and poetic approach, she creates works that intertwine personal and collective experiences. Often beginning with the observation and documentation of social realities, she transforms these into layered visual narratives. Her interest lies not only in personal storytelling but also in examining the broader sociopolitical structures that govern the subjects of her work. Redina has participated in artist residencies in Krakow (Poland) and Graz (Austria). She is also the co-founder Fora Magazine, an independent editorial platform dedicated to culture and, art.
