Ana Frangovska is an art historian and a curator. Born 1978 in Skopje. Graduated Art History and Archaeology in 2001 at the University “St. Cyril and Methodius”, Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje, Institute of Art History and Archaeology. Earned her MA at the same Faculty in 2017. She is a Doctor of sciences in Contemporary Arts and Media from the Faculty of Arts and Media in Belgrade from September 2023. Frangovska is a senior curator at the National Gallery of the Republic of North Macedonia since 2006 and a lecturer on the Institute of Art History and Archeology, Faculty of Philosophy, since 2016. She has curated and organized great number of institutional and independent projects in the country and abroad, of local and international artists. Was a co-curator of the Pavilion of Republic of North Macedonia on the 59th Venice Biennale (altogether with Sanja Kojic – Mladenov), with the project “Landscape Experience”, of the artists Robert Jankuloski and Monika Moteska in 2022, as well as a curator of the Pavilion of Macedonia at the 55th Venice Biennale in 2013 with the project “Silentio pathologia” from the artist Elpida Hadzi-Vasileva. She is running an international residency in village of Galichnik, western Macedonia, which has a history of 34 sessions behind.
