Jukebox

Jukebox is a creative mediator’s intervention to the exhibition in collaboration with Armend Xhaferi, Arian Randobrava and Art Lokaj.

Armend Xhaferi is a jazz musician, composer, and producer. He completed his Master’s degree in 2006 at the Kunsuniversität Graz, Austria. He is also passionate and hard- working composer, proficient in composing, orchestrating, and arranging music for film and other visual media, using the latest technology. Xhaferi is specialized in electric and acoustic guitar in the genres of jazz, pop, world, blues, rock, reggae, and ambient music. He has worked and played with the most famous musicians around the world.

Arian Randobrava completed high school of music and the Academy of Arts in Pristina, Department of Music, majoring in Saxophone. During his studies, he also studied for a year at the Jazz Academy in Graz, Austria, the direction of Saxophone Techniques. He continued his post-graduate studies at the Academy of Arts at the Faculty of Music “Sveti Kiril i Metodij” in Skopje, where he also obtained a master’s degree in Classical Music, Saxophone. During the years 2004-2015, he was the leading saxophonist in the Big Band of Radio Television of Kosovo. Whereas, from 2002 to 2019, he was a Corporal/Saxophonist in the Ceremonial Guard of the Kosovo Defense Forces. Performs regularly in popular bars and clubs in Kosovo and Albania, with various formations where they mainly play jazz, ethno jazz, pop, and generally contemporary music with local and regional musicians.

Art Lokaj started playing guitar at the age of 5 and later completed the elementary school of music “Prenk Jakova” in the piano instrument. He is a singer and songwriter. So far he has released his first album, “Use You”. In addition to working as a solo artist, he also collaborates and performs live with other musicians such as Shpat Deda, Nesim Maxhuni, Ilir Bajri. One of his passions is theater and in this field he has worked on music in about 10 shows performed in theaters in Pristina, Skopje, Tirana, Gjilan, Prizren, Gjakovë.
